Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) released the first set of findings from the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count. These top-level results include:
- Overall homelessness is down slightly in LA County by 0.3%, from 75,518 to 75,312.
- It also decreased by 2.2% within the City of Los Angeles, from 46,260 to 45,252.
- Within Service Planning Area 8/South Bay (SPA 8), overall homelessness is down 16%, from 6,476 to 5,428 (this does not include the City of Long Beach). The following graph compares this year’s results with the previous 5 years.
